Rose Development has a combined 75 years of experience in Real Estate Development with both commercial and residential real estate. We work on every aspect of the deal including underwriting, construction, acquiring and managing various types of commercial, multifamily, industrial and large-scale residential projects. Our deals have exceeded more than $1 billion in Real Estate assets.  We have brokerage licenses in the State of Utah and Nevada.

James Rose

Founder and CEO

James Rose is a businessman who defines the entrepreneurial spirit. James has 20 years of experience in real estate, finance, and development. He has been involved in the acquisition and disposition of over $1 billion in real estate assets. He has been involved in various types of commercial, hospitality, multifamily, industrial and large-scale residential projects.

James is a passionate visionary that approaches every project with the goal of adding massive value and innovation to the community. He is an expert in assembling world-class teams, and breathing energy and enthusiasm into everything he does. James lives in St. George with his wife and four children. He is an outdoor enthusiast and loves boating, hiking and riding his horses in the mountains of Southern Utah.

Lyndi Rose

Co-Founder/President

Lyndi Rose is co-founder and Executive Vice President of Rose Development, with over 15 years of experience in real estate, asset and property management. Lyndi is responsible for execution of strategic business plans for each property owned, with a focus on achieving cash flow yields, occupancy and leasing. She loves people, and has developed long-term relationships with some of the largest national real estate holding companies in the nation.

Lyndi was raised in Southern Utah, and has a deep love for her community. She has been married to James Rose for nearly 20 years, and together they have four beautiful children. She loves spending time with her family, especially boating at Lake Powell.

Steve Laski

Director of Development

Mr. Laski is the co-founder and Managing Principal of Acumen Development Partners. Wielding more than 37 years’ construction and development experience across many successful businesses, Mr. Laski oversees field operations of all Acumen Projects and provides oversight to all corporate business functions. Mr. Laski is renowned for his ability to achieve the unachievable. He is a go-to resource for some of the top ownership groups and franchisers in the hospitality business. His project bandwidth spans from $1 M to $450 M from coast-to-coast and in the Caribbean.

Rodger Mitchell

Assistant Director Planning and Dev.

Rodger has been a Deputy and Assistant Director at School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration for the State of Utah. With years of experience in development and land planning he is a solid asset to the Rose Team.

Devin Anderson

CIO-Chief Information Officer

Proven leader with broad experience in delivering market leading solutions to Fortune 500 companies. Passion for making a difference and simplifying the IT experience to solve complex problems.

Over 16 years in Product Management as an individual contributor and as a manager. Mastered processes in agile development in international models. Overseen product families delivering value to solving needs in Security, End-user Computing, Asset Management and Print Management that totaled nearly 200M a year. Successfully introduced new products to new markets with some of the most exciting and successful companies in Utah.

Roger King

Investor Director

Roger King began investing in real estate in 1995, buying, fixing, and flipping houses in Orlando FL. After moving to Palm Springs, CA and forming his own business in 2009, he and his team have transacted over $20m since. His decades-long experience in marketing, acquisition & disposition, investor relations, as well as his 25-year dedication to self-improvement all help make Roger an invaluable member of the Rose Development team.

Dave Horlacher

Investments

Dave Horlacher has done financial advising for 13 years. He started advising in the off seasons while playing professional baseball in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.  He earned a degree in Business Finance from Dixie State University. Growing up and living in the fastest growing metro in the US, he continually reviewed his clients real estate deals and knew he had to be a part of the development.

Paul Ford

Public Relations Officer

Working with the public comes naturally for this guy. Family first is his motto. He loves his dear wife, Tiffany; they have a mixed family with nine children, they often joke that they are The New Walton’s. He went to Southern Utah University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin and a minor in French. He began as a residential and commercial landscape contractor, from here to general contracting and eventually into public relations and marketing for a news agency. He brings his excellent energy to Rose Development and blooms where he’s planted. He loves the environment and has a penchant for helping the underprivileged across the globe. One highlight was his experience in Haiti after the devasting earthquake in 2010, rebuilding and offering aid throughout the year.

Stephenie Mejias

Project Administrator

Ms. Mejias’s 19 years of accounting, cost control, and HR experience in hospitality and property management sectors enable Ms. Mejias to develop and implement systems and procedures to stream line and assist our clients to improve their accounting procedures and productivity. Ms. Mejias’s years of experience includes; Controller for Keystone Property Management, Controller for Development Construction Management and Senior Accountant for RLI, a company with accounts receivable in excess of a billion dollars a
year.

Jake Gardener

Director of Marketing

Jake Gardener has spent his entire career in advertising. Starting his own marketing firm 7 years ago, Jake works with a variety of partners to place marketing dollars in the right hands. Jake focuses on developing and managing marketing programs for specific projects by supporting business objectives including crafting the right strategy to implement marketing dollars. He also works with development teams to build strategies to lead acquisitions, foster client retention, execute business development goals, provide sales support and advance brand building.

Johnny Hilfiker

Project Manager

Johnny Hilfiker brings over 18 years of construction management experience to the Acumen team. His portfolio consists of nearly $200 million in boutique & resort hospitality, retail, industrial, and government commercial construction. Johnny effectively manages all aspects of the construction process to ensure projects are on time, and within budget.

Prior to joining Acumen, Hilfiker served as a project manager with SRS Construction. Specializing in luxury hospitality, Mr. Hilfiker excelled in leading teams of subcontractors to suceess. .

Prior to SRS, Johnny was with WDG Construction, specializing in municipal, industrial, and assisted living projects.  There, Mr. Hilfiker honed his direct leadership style which is ‘to the point’, and makes expectations clear to all parties.

Prior to WDG construction Johnny was with Kite Realty Group, a publicly traded leader in retail developments across the United States.

Mr. Hilfiker attended Oklahoma Baptist University and earned a Bachelors in Business Management from the Paul Dickenson School of Business.
